Manic Mom's Mental Myriads

Stop by and have a laugh from Manic Mom's Mental Myriads on Motherhood, and some other stuff too, but mostly motherhood, wifehood, thoughts on writing, etc. No politics will be discussed here or geography, and I will not be solving any mathematical equations. Just some BS on whatever I feel like blogging on...

why

When fate steps in
and takes your gift
The question of why
on the edge of your lips.

To put you through
excitement
joy
wonderment

Replacing it with
agony
sadness
loss

Why?

And how am I better off?
What will I learn from this?

Hmm. Must be a different anonymous than the one I know. Mine used to talk about web hosting services. Anyways, I hope nothing bad happened and that you're just playing with poetry as Anna suggested. And FYI, dorky brother copied his adorable little sister on photography. It's nice to be the follower instead of the leader for once in this whole sibling thing.

Hey Lady of the House! I feel like a true celebrity has visited my site! Aren't you engaged? Getting married soon? Do YOU like ICG? Haha--I am trying so hard to get the info from "R" aka DD. I am guessing ICG is on his blog links and have been doing some investigating.

Something awful did happen, to a very close friend and I don't feel it's my place to discuss here, but I felt the need to write something about it. Not sure if she will read it, but she was just on my mind, and I'm feeling sad for her.

I'm sorry about your friend. I hope everything works out ok.

By the way, any suggestions on worm treatments?

LMAO!

I hope everything works out for you and your friend. Anyways, yup, I'm engaged. We're not sure about how soon we're going to get married though because we might just escape to Europe and elope instead of having a traditional ceremony. Yes, I like ICG. She's a real cool gal and definitely someone who could keep my brother in line. I'd love to tell you more about her, but then my brother would retaliate with all sorts of embarrassing stories and pictures. So yeah, DD, if you're reading this, I'M BEING GOOD AND KEEPING MY MOUTH SHUT! :)

Wow. That's so sad, I can't even fathom what must have happened. Keeping you and your friend in my thoughts.

If I had to guess, your poem is about someone who lost a child, maybe in stillbirth? In such circumstances, that particular quote comes to mind: "It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." Especially as such a loss can make you appreciate other miracles (such as other children) even more so.

Enjoy reading your blog. "why" conveys your sadness to us...so sorry.
Can you tell us any more about the article you are quoted in?

Steph,

You made me want to puke. I see though that your kids are okay.

Life is SO tragic sometimes....

Love ya,

Some of the hardest lessons we learn are obtained through grief. Nobody knows why.

I hope your friend can come out on top of her/his troubles. It's better than being underneath.
